It's Grim in't North

This project is about portraying how we see the North of England, specifically the area surrounding Leeds, we were to do this by creating a photobook of about 20 photographs with a short introduction and summary of what we think of the area, is it as grim as it is generally portrayed? 

In general I do not think that the North of England is any more grim than the south and that like many things it depends on the viewpoint of the person. 

This is my first shoot for the Grim in't North project I decided to go out and shoot on a bright sunny day but in a slightly rundown looking portion of Leeds to create a contrast between the summer weather that is generally associated with things being good and prosperous against the gritty reality of the area closed down businesses, council tower blocks and emphasis on the amount of properties that are unoccupied with no redevelopment currently occurring.
